Laundry Supervisor

ALBERT HOTEL is hiring for a LAUNDRY SUPERVISOR

Albert Hotel is located on a three-acre site from 242 to 248 East Main Street, Fredericksburg, TX. The hotel itself is tucked away from Main Street located behind the original historic buildings, creating a peaceful escape offering quiet sophistication just off bustling Main Street. The hotel has 110 guest rooms, including bunkrooms, suites, and a private house, and each room will have tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and little extras to make guests feel at home. The property has three restaurants, one bar, a private dining room, and will offer in-room dining. Guests can enjoy the inviting outdoor lagoon-style pool, a fitness center, and a 2,000 sq. foot full-service spa. The property is ideal for hosting events, with a 3,600 square-foot event space and a 1,200 square-foot mezzanine deck and event lawn.

What you'll do:

• Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instruction
• Supervise the laundry team; assign and delegate tasks, ensuring efficient coverage and proper work distribution
• Set and maintain high cleanliness and service standards throughout the hotel; conduct regular inspections to ensure that all laundry activities meet established criteria
• Provide training to new team members and ongoing development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge; conduct regular training sessions to reinforce proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols
• Monitor laundry supplies, linens, and equipment inventory; coordinate with the appropriate department to ensure an adequate stock of laundry supplies
• Coordinate with the front office to ensure that guest rooms are ready for occupancy; maintain accurate records of room status and work closely with the front office to manage room inventory
• Address guest concerns or feedback related to laundry promptly and effectively; strive to enhance guest satisfaction through exceptional service
• Ensure that all laundry practices adhere to safety and security protocols; comply with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
• Work collaboratively with other departments such as maintenance, housekeeping and front office to address any maintenance or guest-related issues that may require attention
• Assist in the implementation of special projects
• Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are met
• Be available to fill in and assist in other areas as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the outlet as directed by the outlet manager and attend relevant meetings as directed

Who you are:

• You have 1-3 years of experience in a housekeeping role preferred.
• You are fluent in English and Spanish pis referred.
• You are able to interpret standard operating procedures, safety, and sanitation instructions.
• You are detail-oriented and take ownership of your work.
• You use your time wisely and are an expert in prioritizing.
• You have a strong work ethic and can work both autonomously and with a team.
• You're an excellent communicator and lead by example.
