Fidelity Hotel will have 97 guest rooms & suites, each with tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and thoughtfully curated art. JOB OVERVIEW
A Turndown Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of the property including guest rooms, public areas, back of house, and linens. Turndown attendants are responsible for the restock of in-room guest amenities and must ensure a thorough inventory control of these products. This role will follow the policies, standards, and guidelines established by New Waterloo, the Department of Health, and any other applicable government agencies. This is an evening shift.
What you'll do:
- Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instruction
- Prepare guest rooms for the night to include turning down the bed linen, closing curtains, placing amenities, etc.
- Clean guest rooms and common areas according to standard operating procedures and as assigned by supervisor
- Stock housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies including linen, cleaning rags, and guest room amenities
- Complete turndown services to all in-house guest rooms in accordance with hotel standards
- Complete any guests requests in a timely fashion
- Maintain cleanliness of guest corridors and back of house throughout the shift
- Maintain organization of storage areas and replenish supplies as neded
- Assist with responsibilities and duties of laundry services during need periods
- Report and correct any deficiencies noted in guest rooms or public areas to the appropriate individuals
- Assist in the timely completion of all projects including mattress rotation, window washing, deep cleanings, etc.
- Assist in the implementation of special projects
- Possess knowledge of all guest services and amenities
- Greet all guests in close proximity and make each feel important by providing a genuine welcome
- Ensure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns; inform immediate supervisor and apply corrective measures when necessary
- Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are met
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the work area
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
- Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property and keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements
- Be available to fill in and assist in other areas as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the outlet as directed by the outlet manager and attend relevant meetings as directed
Who you are:
- You have a high school diploma or general education degree preferred.
- You have previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience preferred
- You are ableto interpret standard operating procedures, safety, and sanitation instructions.
