ALBERT HOTEL is hiring for a SPA SUPERVISOR
Albert Hotel is located on a three-acre site from 242 to 248 East Main Street, Fredericksburg, TX. The hotel itself is tucked away from Main Street located behind the original historic buildings, creating a peaceful escape offering quiet sophistication just off bustling Main Street. The hotel has 110 guest rooms, including bunkrooms, suites, and a private house, and each room will have tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and little extras to make guests feel at home. The property has three restaurants, one bar, a private dining room, and will offer in-room dining. Guests can enjoy the inviting outdoor lagoon-style pool, a fitness center, and a 2,000 sq. foot full-service spa. The property is ideal for hosting events, with a 3,600 square-foot event space and a 1,200 square-foot mezzanine deck and event lawn.
What you'll do:
- Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instruction
- Assist spa management with training, product inventory, payroll, scheduling, and financial reporting.
- Actively lead and encourage high performance from all team members during daily operations
- Assist with ordering of equipment and supplies, and maintain inventory control for all spa areas, including storage and cost-effective usage of all department-related materials and assets to ensure a smooth operation
- Be knowledgeable about Fredericksburg, Albert Hotel, and The Spa and able to provide direction to guests to include packages and products offered, hours of operation, class schedules, and the adventurous offerings of our scenic surroundings.
- Educate guests and provide feedback, resources, and recommendations for continued care at home.
- Maintain a high level of customer service standards in all interactions with spa guests and hotel staff.
- Resolve all guest feedback in a promptly and diplomatically ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction
- Utilize a continuous improvement approach to identify development opportunities, and leverage creativity, and flexibility in determining solutions, plans, and execution
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of all spa facilities including coordinating special requirements with housekeeping, laundry, and engineering
- Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property and keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition; arrange for equipment purchases and repairs as needed
- Ensure staff has a complete understanding of their job requirements and sufficient training before holding them accountable for results
- Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are met
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the spa
- Attend relevant meetings, including monthly financial reviews; review numbers, identify problems, plan solutions, and set goals
Who you are:
- You have 2 years of supervisory experience preferably in a hospitality setting.
- You have a CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- You have previous cash handling experience.
- You have experience managing retail inventory and meeting budget goals
- You possess knowledge of current wellness trends, including personal knowledge of various therapies, treatments, ingredients, and innovations.
- You believe in hospitality, deeply and passionately.
- You know how important relationships are and you find joy in growing and maintaining new ones.
- You use your time wisely and are an expert in prioritizing and multi-tasking.
- You're thorough, have excellent communication and pay close attention to detail.
- You're patient and able to remain calm in stressful situations.
