Senior Electrical Engineer

Description

This position is responsible for design and development of products that ensure overall system performance, reliability, and project goals are met. This position has a thorough understanding of engineering principles and can provide technical solutions to moderately challenging problems. This position requires close collaboration with the engineering staff and project managers.

Requirements

Technical Knowledge:

• Develop and analyze system requirements
• Develop designs independently or under the supervision of Staff/Principal Engineers
• Perform and/or coordinate system requirements verification testing
  
  

Design And Development

• Work with senior engineers to propose and integrate existing technologies for potential application into products
• Ensure designs meet performance, quality, and safety standards
  
  

Problem-Solving

• Analyze and resolve product integration issues and production anomalies
  
  

Collaboration

• Work with, guide, and supervise lab and manufacturing technicians and junior engineers to accomplish company goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, to deliver successful projects
  
  

Research And Development

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
• Contribute to research and development efforts within the organization
  
  

Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, project plans, and engineering reports
  
  

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains with the engineering department and work to implement them
• Represent the company in a professional manner
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study is acceptable for this position with 7 years of experience
• Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study is acceptable for this position with 3 years of experience
  
  

Physical Parameters

• Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds over the head
• Must have finger and wrist dexterity with repetitive motion

Salary Range: $125,200.00-$173,200.00
