Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer filled with adventure and learning. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children of various ages. You will lead activities, provide guidance, and foster personal growth while ensuring the well-being of each camper.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities and events.
- Plan and implement educational and recreational programs that promote teamwork, creativity, and physical fitness.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by maintaining a positive environment.
- Educate campers on various skills through organized games, sports, arts and crafts, and other activities.
- Manage behavior effectively using appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff regarding camper progress and any concerns.
- Assist in the development of individual camper goals based on their interests and needs.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that accommodates children with special needs or varying abilities.
Skills
- Experience in babysitting or working with children in various capacities.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to address diverse behavioral needs.
- Experience in special education or tutoring is advantageous.
- Background in early childhood education or sports coaching is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.90 per hour
