Currently we are seeking a Director of Information Technology (IT) to join our team and be an essential part of our team. The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, network security, and IT support. This role ensures that technology supports business operations efficiently, securely, and cost-effectively. The Director will develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives and lead a team of IT professionals in maintaining and improving the company’s technological capabilities.
Your Role in Our Mission:
- Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with business goals.
- Lead digital transformation efforts, ensuring that technology supports manufacturing and corporate functions effectively.
- Manage IT budgets, forecasts, and technology investments to optimize costs and drive business growth.
- Ensure IT compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee the management, customization, and optimization of the company’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to support production, supply chain, finance, and sales operations.
- Work with key stakeholders to enhance ERP functionality to improve business efficiency.
- Ensure system uptime, data integrity, and integration with other software platforms.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, servers, and cloud-based solutions. Purchase hardware as needed.
- Ensure reliable network performance, system availability, and cybersecurity protections.
- Manage IT helpdesk support to maintain efficient operations across all company locations.
- Develop and enforce IT security policies to protect company data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices, including firewall management, intrusion detection, and endpoint security.
- Monitor and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities proactively.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of software applications used across different departments. This includes the ERP system.
- Ensure that IT equipment, including computers, servers, networking devices, and mobile devices, is up to date and functional.
- Develop and implement an IT asset management program to track software licenses and hardware inventory.
- Oversee corporate networking, Wi-Fi, and VPN services to ensure connectivity and security.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to optimize technology solutions.
- Lead the adoption of cloud-based solutions where applicable to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage an IT team responsible for system administration, software development, and IT support.
- Establish performance goals and provide professional development opportunities for IT staff.
- Foster a culture of innovation, security, and continuous improvement with the IT department.
To Perform this Job Successfully:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 7 years of IT leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong experience with ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Knowledge of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience managing Windows servers, cloud computing, and enterprise software.
- Familiarity with database management, SQL, and business intelligence tools.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing IT teams.
- Strong skills in managing IT projects, budgets, and vendor relationships.
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
