Title: Reports to: Job Overview: Superintendent Managing Partner A Superintendent is a full-time, exempt position that oversees the operations of a construction site, from planning to completion. The duties of a construction superintendent will very, however, they can expect to be responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site. Responsibilities and Duties: • Meet with building owners/ tenants to discuss build-out specifications and improvements. • Create estimates for build-out projects, including labor, supplies, materials and other ancillary costs. • Maintain a daily job site log. • Coordinate all construction services and activities. • Maintain the schedule and budget; make changes as necessary to ensure deadlines are met. • Leading and managing the on-site construction crew. • Attending production meetings. • Constant communication with their Project Manager. • Ensuring quality standards are met. • Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and materials on site. • Following the project timeline. • Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliances. Also maintaining a safety/ injury log for each project. • Maintain site cleanliness and orderliness. • Keep detailed records for site personnel. • Oversees all phases of project. • This position requires some exposure to the elements, i.e. inclement weather, extreme heat or cold, wind, etc. • This position requires little travel, mostly from jobsite to jobsite or jobsite to office. • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ambidextrous hand motions and ability to grip objects is a must.
