New Western is seeking an energetic and strategic Business Development and Event Strategy Manager to lead the planning and execution of REI on Tap, our signature networking event series.
About the Role: The Business Development and Event Strategy Manager will transform REI on Tap into a cornerstone of New Western’s business development strategy.
This series of informal networking events provides real estate professionals with a relaxed, no-pressure environment to connect, share insights, and explore collaboration opportunities—all while enjoying great food and drinks at local hotspots.
In this role, you'll combine your event planning expertise with strategic business engagement to inspire and empower our 39 local offices to leverage these events as powerful tools for relationship-building and lead generation.
\n- Lead the strategy and execution of REI on Tap events for each of New Western’s 39 markets, collaborating with General Managers (GMs) to select optimal dates, venues (breweries, restaurants, etc.), and sponsors.
- Travel to various office locations and industry events to oversee and lead in-person event execution, ensuring a high level of employee engagement.
- Secure and manage event sponsorships, ensuring sponsor alignment with event goals and delivering proper marketing representation across all platforms. Drive measurable results by integrating partnerships and lead generation tactics into event planning.
- Partner with GMs to integrate REI on Tap events into each office’s broader business development strategy. Lead training sessions to equip our agents with the knowledge and motivation to promote events, personally invite leads, and maximize attendance.
- Track key performance metrics such as lead quality, ROI, and conversion rates. Report on event outcomes, provide insights and make data-driven recommendations.
- Conduct pre- and post-event debriefs (After Action Reviews) to gather feedback, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop, track, and manage event budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control. Monitor event performance against KPIs and provide detailed reports to leadership, offering insights on improvements and areas for optimization.
- Proven experience in event planning, business development, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and engage teams.
- Willingness to travel nationwide to support events and provide on-site leadership.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with tools like Eventbrite and CRM platforms.
