Position Title

- Disassembly and reassembly of air compressor components.
- Use of calipers and bore gauge, power and manual tools. i.e. impact wrenches, drills, semi- automatic equipment, i.e. pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultra-sonic washers.
- Daily part changes outs for Sunnen hone machine.
- Piston/Cylinder assembly.
- Final assembly of locomotive air compressors (various models).
- Final assembly testing of completed locomotive air compressors.
- Properly filling out log sheets with before and after measurements.
- Fill in as back-up technician as needed.
- Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
- Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
- Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
- Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.
- Technical Capacity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.

- Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.

Required Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to Two years of related experience.
