Summary:
The Travers Island Food and Beverage Operations Manager will take part in the management of the Front of House Operations for the a la carte and , Banquet Areas.
Requirements:
- Manage FOH operations in both the a la carte and banquet areas.
- Ensure that service to members and guests meets the standard of the NYAC.
- Interact with members, solicits, and utilizes feedback, answers questions while solving problems. High floor presence.
- Greeting and escorting members and guest to their table
- Ensure proper steps of service, and promote excellent membership dining experiences
- Take reservations over the phone, via email and through dining app.
- Supervise seasonal and permanent restaurant staff.
- Complete will weekly payroll, staff scheduling and training.
- Responsible for ensuring consistent high-quality food and beverage service.
- Handle any member /guest concerns or complaints.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Education/Skills/Experience:
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the Services and Hospitality Industry.
- Basic knowledge of food, wine and liquor.
- Must have strong organizational skills, self- discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing.
- Must be proficient in computers and POS Systems.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Solid time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
