Summary The prestigious New York Athletic Club is currently looking for a new busser for its elegant dining room. Candidates will be working in one of the most beautiful rooms in NYC. We are looking for an experienced busser with exposure to a fast-paced fine dining environment. The job requires clearing and bussing tables during service, refilling waters, managing bread service as well as keeping in constant communication with waiters to ensure amazing guest satisfaction, ensuring a clean and tidy environment for guests. Bussers are also required to reset tables in a timely fashion. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Carries dirty dishes from dining rooms to kitchen. Wipes table tops and chairs with damp cloth.
Replaces soiled table linens and sets tables with silverware and glassware.
Replenishes supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in dining room. Supplies service bar with food such as soups, salads, and desserts.
Serves ice water, bread and butter to our members/guests.
Cleans and polishes glass shelves and doors of service bars and equipment such as coffee urns and cream and milk dispensers.
Makes coffee and fills fruit juice dispensers.
Sweeps and mops floors.
Must be able to adhere to a strict schedule. Must be able to work in a fine dining fast paced environment.
Schedule: Full time. Wednesday to Saturday 3PM-11PM, Sunday 9AM-5PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.67 per hour
