Job Description And Responsibilities
- Create and maintain daily schedule for the Winged Foot Day Camp
- Develop and execute camp wide activities and themes
- Supervise activity leaders and provide necessary feedback
- Oversee and maintain the camp’s inventory
- Be the point of contact and act as the trip leader for any off site trips
- Be the point of contact for any third party vendors who come onto the Travers Island property
- Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment for campers
- Enforce safety rules and regulations of the Club
- Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, campers, parents/guardians, and third party vendors
- Be flexible to meet changing work needs and demands
- Must be on site when field trips are not scheduled
- Attend pre-camp training in May and June 2024
- Have participated in off-site trips as a camp staff member
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Pass NYS and national background check
- Valid CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Transportation to and from Travers Island required
- 40 hours per week during June-August 2024
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work on a team
- Possess effective customer service skills
- Demonstrate responsible and professional conduct
- Be open to feedback and desire to grow professionally
- Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
- Knowledge in lesson planning and youth sports programs/activities
