New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead our clinical teams.
In this role, you will:
- Plan, direct, and train clinical staff while addressing concerns and resolving issues.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with the CNO to introduce new care models and streamline operations.
- Oversee staffing plans, ensuring all NYCBS locations are adequately covered with RNs and LPNs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and infection prevention measures.
- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and communication among healthcare teams.
- Lead onboarding and training for new office practices and clinical staff.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes, ensuring the highest level of service.
- Uphold HIPAA compliance and data integrity in all clinical operations.
- Supervise and facilitate regular meetings with nursing staff and department managers.
We require:
- Current RN license in the State of New York.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or Nursing (Master’s Preferred).
- 3 years of experience in an advanced administrative nursing role.
- 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Strong knowledge of Oncology/Hematology care.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
