Teaching Schedule
- Available Days: Saturday and/or Sunday
- Saturday: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm / 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
- Sunday: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Target Students
- Age Range: Children aged 4 and up
- Teaching Mode: Both online and in-person classes, adaptable to different student needs
Responsibilities
- Teach Mandarin in an interactive and engaging manner to inspire students’ interest in learning
- Prepare lessons and provide post-class feedback to track each student’s progress
- Use textbooks with both simplified and traditional Chinese to teach foundational and advanced Chinese language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)
Qualifications
- Legal Status: Must possess U.S. citizenship, a Green Card, or a valid work permit
- Language Skills: Proficient in Chinese, with strong abilities in speaking, reading, and writing Mandarin
- Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching Chinese to children is preferred, with an ability to apply child-friendly teaching methods
- Personal Traits: Patient and approachable, with good communication skills to engage with parents regarding students’ learning progress
Curriculum and Teaching Content
- Use textbooks that include both simplified and traditional characters
- The curriculum covers basic characters, vocabulary, grammar, and cultural knowledge to support students in enhancing their Mandarin skills comprehensively
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
