DCWP is looking for an experienced finance professional to serve as Executive Director of Finance / Admin Staff Analyst and manage all of the Department’s fiscal needs. Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner of Administration, responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Support DCWP Executive Management, programs, budget staff, OMB and other stakeholders with the highest level of customer service, professionalism, and relationship management.
- Lead the Finance Office, including Procurement, Accounts Payable and Receivables, collections, accounts receivables, Budget and accounting staff. Skillfully manage the agency's budget, including budget planning, forecasting, and tracking headcount and expenditures.
- Oversee preparation of agency New Needs, Budget Reductions, and other Financial Plan actions.
- Oversee review and approval of job postings, PARs and other hiring proposals for appropriate funding and headcount.
- Oversee financial reporting for the unit, including monthly budget metrics, preparation of financial plans, presentations to executive management, and ad hoc reports to facilitate decision making.
- Provide analytical support as required to substantiate budgeting and forecasting projections.
- Analyze and interpret expenditure variance reports for management.
- Recommend and implement process changes to improve forecasting accuracy, strengthen internal controls and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Business ownership of all databases and processes utilized to produce information for the Finance Office.
- Lead development of improved Budget tracking and monitoring tools, processes and budget constructs.
- Ensure the agency is compliant with City financial policies, rules and regulations.
- Participate on cross-functional teams to solve agency issues.
- Assist on special projects as required.

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
