What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Coordinator position at New York City Department of Transportation?
The candidate will report to the Training Administration Services Manager. The candidate would be responsible for scheduling office and field employees for Professional Development, Equipment and Safety trainings. Create and update scheduling spreadsheets in Excel. Handle logistics for training activities including venues, equipment, and supplies. Copy, file, and scan course materials. Liaise with managers, supervisors, training liaisons and vendors to meet training objectives and learner needs. Complete data entry and analysis as needed to support scheduling decisions; including tabulating course/assessment results and creating or analyzing survey data, creates courses and classes in the Learning Management System. Create and distribute wallet cards and certificates and any other tasks related to supporting the unit's function.
-Coordinate logistics with vendors and division/project managers for training at locations
-Advertise classes to training liaisons
-Create rosters, sign in-sheets, name tents and badges using Microsoft office products, such as Excel
-Email confirmations and reminders to participants, training liaisons and supervisors
-Run no show reports for each class or training project
-Create classes in the Learning Management System
-Conduct sign-in/sign-out for assigned classes
-Notify supervisors, managers, and training liaisons of scheduling results by phone or email
-Review, scan, and file materials correctly after training is completed, including attendance reports from virtual platforms
-Create and distributes wallet cards and certificates
-Manage programs such leadership development for a targeted audience.
-Host virtual classes using Zoom or Teams
PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOC - 10124
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in "1" above; or
3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in "1" above;
4. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3 years.
