Position Overview
NYCEEC is seeking an experienced, pragmatic, and mission-aligned Director to join our team, playing a key role in managing organizational risks while also supporting our goal to achieve meaningful impact aligned with our mission and vision. The ideal candidate will balance a thoughtful approach to risk mitigation with a can-do attitude in addressing financing challenges. The Director is expected to have an important role at NYCEEC and support NYCEEC’s work of advancing the clean energy economy.
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with other members of the NYCEEC team and our Board, the Director will play a significant role in NYCEEC’s work, both in its normal lending operations and in financing programs where NYCEEC collaborates with other organizations and / or federal, state or local government agencies.
The NYCEEC team works in a hybrid model, presently in the office two days per week and remote the remainder. NYCEEC’s office is in midtown Manhattan. This is a full-time position, although NYCEEC is willing to consider candidates willing to accept a reduced time commitment (32 hours per week) with a commensurate reduction in compensation.
The anticipated start date of this position is May 5, 2025, but it is possible for the position to start earlier or later.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with other NYCEEC senior staff and Board members to evaluate the credit and other risks associated with new transaction opportunities in accordance with NYCEEC governance and credit approval processes.
- Evaluate the credit and other risks associated with new programs and products offered by NYCEEC and participate in their development and implementation.
- Manage certain elements of loan administration on NYCEEC’s portfolio on an ongoing basis, in a team-oriented, collaborative manner :
Approve any construction draws, in coordination with legal and engineering staff.

Compensation and Benefits
