POSITION OVERVIEW :

New York City FC is seeking a Manager, Partnership Marketing to play a pivotal role in managing, renewing, and growing brand partnerships. This individual will be responsible for developing strategic marketing campaigns that drive commercial revenue and maximize partner value. The ideal candidate will excel in relationship management, creative problem-solving, and revenue generation, ensuring that partners fully leverage club assets to achieve their brand and business objectives.

This role will collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver and optimize partner assets, including digital content, matchday branding, immersive experiences, tickets & hospitality, player appearances, and merchandise. The Manager will also be a key contributor to partner renewals and upsells, ensuring long-term success and growth for both the club and its commercial partners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO :

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners and agency teams.
  • Gain a deep understanding of each partner’s brand and business objectives.
  • Proactively develop marketing concepts leveraging New York City FC assets and platforms.
  • Ensure all partner activations align with New York City FC brand guidelines and standards.
  • Structure and negotiate complex rights packages to meet partner objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth by securing renewals and upsells for existing partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of partner initiatives.
  • Utilize CRM and analytical tools to monitor and enhance partner performance.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sports, entertainment, or media partnerships.
  • Proven track record of representing brands and / or rights holders to drive value and growth.
  • Strong understanding of sports sponsorship contracts and partnership activation.
  • Ability to lead and execute partner renewals, including relationship cultivation, value articulation, and contract negotiation to maximize long-term revenue.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • High degree of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in client interactions.
  • Experience working in the New York market preferred.
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus but not required.
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Compliance with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policies and any other applicable child safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Prolonged periods of desk work and computer use.
  • COMPENSATION :

    This exempt position has an estimated annual base salary range of $70,000-$80,000 and is not overtime eligible. Final compensation offer amounts are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and software expertise.
