The Printing Section provides print material to the entire New York City Police Department. The Printing Section produces posters, banners, multiset snap-out forms, pamphlets, booklets, range targets, signage, executive stationery and other print related materials, as requested by the Department.
The Bookbinder, assigned to the Printing Section, performs the operation of various commercial grade bindery machines to collate, assemble, stitch, drill, glue, fold, laminate, cut printed materials and binding. Other duties include the minor repair or service of bindery equipment, books, portfolios, periodicals and other related tasks.

- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and one year of satisfactory full-time experience in operating various commercial grade machines which assemble, drill, glue, fold, cut and bind printed material; or
- Three years of satisfactory bookbinding experience operating various commercial grade machines as described in "1" above; or
- Education and/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
