What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Summer Intern - 2025 position at New York City School Construction Authority?
The position is open to talented NYC public high school students interested in pursuing careers in areas including but not limited to business, architecture, construction management, engineering, information technology and/or public administration. Interns will be placed with a SCA department or with one of the SCA's business partner companies located throughout New York City. Students work for six weeks, spending four days with their intern host and the remaining day attending educational programming. The standard hours for the program are 9:00 am-4:00 pm Monday through Frday.Assignments vary and may include maintaining files, organizing documents, managing spreadsheets, conducting Internet research, attending client/staff meetings, drafting for students with AutoCAD/Revit proficiency, and may include one or more construction site visits. New York City public high school students that are eligible to work in the United States and are available to work for the program's six-week duration. School G.P.A. will be considered. SIP welcomes highly motivated enthusiastic students who are self-starters.
