What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Barn Manager position at New York Equestrian Center?
To assist and oversee and manage daily operations throughout the seasons and seasonal changes. Job entails a hands-on management of the facilities and staff. To assist keeping all barn horses in good working condition and care for the needs of the boarder horses as obligated in boarder agreement. To maintain a level of professionalism with staff and clients at all times. To maintain business integrity and enforce all rules and regulations.
Duties and responsibilities
- Daily opening and closing of the facility.
- Operate a western trail program.
- Horse care as needed.
- Hay and shavings management.
- Farrier shoeing schedule for barn horses.
- Lesson program instructor.
- Staffing and scheduling oversight.
- Program assistance.
- Event management – oversight and staffing.
- Customer outreach and satisfaction.
- Safety protocols and compliance – staff horses and clients.
- Review monthly sales figures and projections.
Compensation to be discussed after initial interview, based on experience and qualifications.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
