What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative position at NEW YORK EYE?
New York Eye, a leader in quality eyewear is looking for a self-motivated, pro-active outside sales professional to service optometrists, ophthalmologists and opticians in Upstate New York. This is a field-based position with approximately 25% overnight travel in an established territory.
Responsibilities:
- Requires daily face to face appointments servicing existing customers in their office Monday through Friday
- Increase territory revenues through the development of existing accounts
- Present new and current eyewear lines at all appointments
- Effectively manage board space, monitor brand positioning and support sell-through of product
- Consistently cold call within the territory for new account prospects
- Ability to analyze sales data and reports to identify business opportunities
- Provide exceptional customer service and "partner" with your accounts
- Ability to actively close sales
- Successfully complete comprehensive territory training
Ideal candidates must possess the following:
- Must currently reside in the territory
- Strong, verifiable outside sales, minimum 2 years preferred
- Motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision
- Proven territory management and call cycle skills
- Demonstrated track record in developing business to business relationships
- You must own a reliable car
- Ability to lift sample bags up to 45 pounds
