We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chairside Dental Assistant to join our team and support our general dentistry practice. This role is essential for ensuring efficient workflows and providing high-quality patient care across our 5 practices in Brooklyn and Queens. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is committed to creating a positive patient experience.
Hourly rates start at $18 / hour. Candidates with meaningful experience can earn higher compensation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the dentist during various general dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and seamless delivery of care.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and arranging necessary materials.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures and treatment progress.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive practices.
- Support procedures such as cleanings, fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals.
- Handle and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Facilitate smooth patient flow by coordinating with the front office team and managing treatment schedules.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Assist in taking and processing dental radiographs (X-rays).
