PRIORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Database Development & Maintenance :
Develop and maintain the database for the volunteer portal, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and ease of use.
Collaborate with the technology team to integrate the database with the online platform.
Establish data entry protocols and quality control measures.
Regularly update and improve the database based on user feedback and organizational needs.
Volunteer Opportunity Sourcing & Curation :
Develop relationships with arts organizations to gather information on their volunteer needs; actively research and identify potential volunteer opportunities in the arts sector.
Categorize and curate volunteer listings to ensure relevance and clarity for users.
Create compelling descriptions of volunteer opportunities to attract potential volunteers.
Outreach & Engagement :
Develop strategies to increase user engagement and participation.
Analyze data on portal usage to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Resource Identification :
Conduct thorough research to identify relevant resources for Queens-based artists and arts organizations (e.g., funding opportunities, professional development programs, exhibition spaces, legal assistance).
Develop a comprehensive database of resources, including contact information, eligibility criteria, and deadlines.
Categorize and organize resources for easy access and navigation.
Content Development & Maintenance :
Regularly update the resource center with new information and opportunities.
Ensure the accuracy and relevance of all content.
General Responsibilities :
Stay informed about best practices in database management / resource development.
Provide support to staff and volunteers on using the database and online platforms.
Collaborate with other departments within NYFA to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
Generate reports / analyze data to track progress and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of experience managing software projects or digital resources
- Must have experience in product management (UX, UI, and QA)
- Experience with Freshdesk, HTML, Asana, and web-based CMS
- Customer service experience - especially via email and phone.
- Experience with GA4, Google Looker Studio, and Google Tag Manager
- Proactive self-starter with demonstrated relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and communication skills
- Practical knowledge of software architecture and building technology stacks
- Experience launching new products and features in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with arts nonprofits and organizations in and outside of New York
