- Job Summary :
- Manage a team of inside and outside sales representatives on a regional and / or local basis.
- Maintain sales staff by recruiting, training and actively managing sales representatives.
- Provide ongoing feedback, coaching and guidance.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for territories, product lines, and specific customers, in conjunction with the Sales Management Team.
- Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply & demand.
- Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts, while actively managing customer relationships (cross-selling and upselling)
- Daily interaction with Operations (distribution centers) to ensure smooth delivery of products and maintain high level of customer service.
- Process orders, prepare correspondence, and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ability to develop deep product knowledge; keep current with industry & market trends.
- Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the Company in a positive manner.

- Reside and work in Southern California
- Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience
- Preferred 2 years of sales management.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, but experience can substitute.
- Significant experience selling commodity products.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to build trust-based relationships with customers.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and closing skills.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communications skills – both written and oral.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, and comfortable learning sales software.
- 25% time spent traveling, visiting customers, and meeting with staff.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Reporting to the SVP of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing the inside and outside sales representatives on a regional basis. Maintain open communication with distribution centers to ensure delivery to customers goes smoothly. Assist in marketing strategies, monitoring costs, and keeping the sales team on track to meet established quarterly goals.
