- Job Title: Administrative assistant
Job Summary:
- Works with minimal supervision to handle routine tasks and relieve an executive of administrative duties.
- Acts as a liaison between the executive’s office, the governor's office, state departments, local and federal agencies, and community organizations.
- Attends meetings, functions, and events to gather information.
- Handles complaints and requests from legislators, other departments, citizens, and employees.
- Supervises and evaluates clerical staff, makes recommendations on personnel actions (hiring, promotions, etc.).
- Manages routine correspondence and prepares special letters and reports.
- Assembles information for meetings and speeches, takes minutes in meetings if needed.
- Makes travel arrangements, tracks expenses, and orders office supplies.
- Operates standard office equipment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
