Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine health status and care needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including catheter care and venipuncture.
- Document medical information accurately using Athenahealth and maintain comprehensive medical records.
- Implement infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illness within the facility.
- Collaborate with case management teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust care plans as necessary, particularly for geriatric patients.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Skills
- Proficient in catheter care techniques and infection control practices.
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred.
- Familiarity with Athenahealth for medical documentation is advantageous.
- Strong case management skills to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Excellent venipuncture skills for blood draws and IV placements.
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments with attention to detail.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, especially in geriatrics.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
