Salary: Starting at $25 per hour based on experience

In this role, you will:
- Float between NYH locations
- Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording.
- Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.
- Record patients' vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations
- Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
- Assist providers and other support staff in the data entry process.
- Assist physicians during visits with examinations and all office procedures.
- Perform diagnostic testing under the direct supervision of a Physician or APP.
- Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
- Assist with the Medical Assistant provider assignments.
- Assist with ordering and stocking of medical supplies.
- Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma
- At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Proficiency in OncoEMR (preferred)
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending and reaching.
- Frequent exposure to chemicals, bloodborne pathogens, and patient bodily fluids.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Willingness to travel to NYH locations.
