Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Dexa Technologist will perform bone densitometry procedures as ordered by a licensed provider and utilize independent judgment in determining appropriate techniques, positioning, and safety practices.

In this role, you will :

• Assist with and coordinate patient scheduling.
• Perform bone density exams, assuming responsibility for patient’s care, safety, and physical comfort; Reduce patient anxiety by explaining the procedure process, answering patient questions and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Distribute results to clinics as required.
• Maintain and archive complete patient study.
• Ensure the safe and accurate operation of equipment by completing quality control requirements, referral for preventative maintenance, and following manufacturer instructions.
• Generate quality control records daily in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain and order supplies.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Instruct and train students, residents, fellows and other staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Maintain technical competency through continuing education and participate in sponsored training programs.
