Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location : New Hyde Park
Organization : New York Imaging (NYI) Hours : 5 - 8.5 Hour shifts between 8-6 M-F

In This Role, You Will :
- Follow all New York Imaging policies and procedures.
- Update and maintain all electronic patient records
- Record patient information such as vital signs, weight and changes in medical history prior to each appointment
- Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
- Assist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed
- Start and Maintain IV’s for Radiology procedures including but not limited to CT, PET and MRIs.
- Record patient intake including updating allergies, medication reconciliation, immunizations and smoking status.
- Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests
- Assist physician with exams as needed
- Perform phlebotomy and collect other lab specimens as ordered by provider
- Perform basic lab tests including Istats, PT / INR, Glucose, urine pregnancy tests along with collection of urine analysis
- Administer and document medication under a physician’s order and follow the five (5)medication rights to reduce the potential for medical error.
