Job Description:
The Director of Advancement Services is responsible for managing the data services within the Development, Alumni Relations, and External Affairs department. This involves overseeing data management, reporting, and analytics to support our fundraising and donor engagement efforts.
This position will oversee all databases that serve the office of Development and Alumni Relations, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of our advancement data. The Director will provide actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making and lead the Advancement Services team in achieving our goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee data management, reporting, and analytics to support fundraising and donor engagement efforts.
- Manage the advancement database system, including upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Lead and manage the Advancement Services team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align data services with our strategic priorities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements related to data privacy and security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, data management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, advancement services, or a related field within a higher education or nonprofit environment.
- Proven experience with advancement databases and data reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills, leadership, and team management abilities, communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in information security.
