Job Overview
New York Institute of Technology seeks an experienced professional to serve as the Associate Dean for Campus Life, located at our Old Westbury campus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in student affairs and be able to represent Student Life in all campus matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Student Life in all campus matters as the second in charge of the unit.
- Supervise the Office of Student Engagement.
- Oversee the Offices of Residence Life, which includes a new Long Island residence hall opening this year and a residence hall in New York City.
- Assist in managing daily responses to student needs.
- Coordinate conduct and community standards educational programming in collaboration with campus partners.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree is required, with a Terminal degree preferred.
- Prior experience in Educational Leadership, Higher Education, Student Affairs or related field is required.
- Field of expertise in college student personnel, Student conduct, Campus emergency response, Assessment, Title IX processes and investigations is required.
- Training in Title IX is required.
- Multicultural competence and demonstrated commitment to diversity and creating inclusive climates inside and outside of the classroom is required.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
