The College of Engineering and Computing Sciences at New York Institute of Technology (New York Tech) seeks a non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor in Computer Science at its Long Island, NY (Old Westbury) campus.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Advise students.
- Participate in all departmental/school activities that advance the goals of the department/school, i.e. Open House, recruitment events, service on departmental and collegewide committees, curriculum development, etc.
Qualifications
Candidates should have an M.S. or a Ph.D. degree in computer science or a related area, excellent communication skills, and a solid track record in academia or industry. Commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels is required. Candidates with a record of industrial experience are preferred. Successful candidates will share our vision to grow the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences into a leader in innovation and a premier source of student talent in the New York Metropolitan Area and globally.
