Part-Time Nurse Practitioner in Pain Management

Skills/Qualifications:

New York Pain Management seeks PART TIME independent Nurse Practitioner interested in interventional pain management and regenerative medicine. Neuro or Ortho experience a plus, but we WILL TRAIN! Qualified candidate will possess thoroughness, strong clinical and communications skills and be capable of working as part of a medical team using scientific deduction to help our patient. This position is PART TIME days are flexible but will include Mondays and Thursdays.

Duties:

• Contributes to patient care, by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; collaborating with the physician and implementing directives.
• Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
• Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, MRIs, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.
• Documents patient care services in electronic medical record
• Performs simple procedures per physician
• Instructs and counsels patients, providing direction for emotional problems of daily living; promoting wellness and health maintenance as it relates to pain.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
