New York Plastic Surgical Group is looking for an Insurance Authorization Specialist in our Garden City office
LOCATION: Garden City/Remote. HYBRID SCHEDULE
*Training is in the Garden City office for approximately 3 months*

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:
- Verifies insurance eligibility for office visits and surgical procedures.
- Obtains authorization for office visits and surgeries when needed.
- Provides leadership, guidance and organizational expertise to all staff members.
- Works closely with Physician secretaries to ensure that authorizations are obtained in a timely manner and any issues brought to the attention of the Physician.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD9/ICD10 coding.
- Understanding of insurance plans, i.e. HMO, POS, PPO
Compensation: $23.00-$26.00
