The New York Post sports video team is seeking an Associate Producer, Sports Video (M-F, 4pm-12am) to help create compelling, shareable videos. Someone who believes sports news doesn’t have to be boring and who appreciates the odd and unconventional stories as well as important ones.
We seek a candidate who is excited about new types of multimedia storytelling and has a track record of creating sports digital video in a fast-paced news organization.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and handle aspects of producing digital video segments, including, but not limited to, highlight packages, sound, features, two-way interviews and more
- Assist in producing digitally-native short-form video
- Help generate our content, pitching video ideas daily and contributing to the team brainstorming
- Work with production staff, talent and reporters in the field
- Operate producer station and assist with studio responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a digital/sports newsroom environment
- Thorough knowledge of sports, both locally and nationally; must be aware of current New York sports news across a broad range of leagues
- Experience with Adobe Premiere
- Must be aware of the latest formats and trends in sports digital video as a distinct form of content versus television
- Positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks a must
- Solid editorial judgment and ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skillsPunctual, regular and consistent attendance
- Must be willing to work non-traditional shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay Range: $60,000 - $60,000Salary : $60,000
