Job Description
The Automated Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for the overall functionality of automated systems within Materials Management. They will work directly with the Distribution Manager to execute product updates within our automated systems (Oracle, MM Module/Pyxis). This position will identify automated system needs for training and system maintenance (table and user updates within the Pyxis System Database). This position will facilitate new product additions/deletions and transitions based on weekly communication updates from the Materials Management Team. Strong Customer service skills are required in order to interact with nursing and identify areas for improvement in their supply locations, based on nursing workflow and item usage. Must be able to ensure deliverables against project milestones, deadlines and GO-LIVE dates.
Data analyst functions include but are not limited to: Item usage reports within Pyxis and Oracle, Systems table maintenance including pricing and packaging updates, Materials Management log maintenance and open order reports. Research and resolve Automated Inventory System hardware/software issues as part of operational support. Oversee the flow of inventory into the storeroom by communicating with Purchasing in order to manage back orders and critically low inventory levels while maintaining on hand inventory and keeping overstock to a minimum. Utilize Oracle to maintain storeroom supply location and inventory levels, update and maintain all end user requisition templates for ordering (house-wide including TULLY & SHMG). This position will be cross-trained as a Distribution Service Clerk in order to function within Supply Chain Distribution. Participates in the performance of System Preparation and design coordination: works with engineering and facilities to coordinate electric specifications and Information Systems to allocate and install data line locations.
This is a Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) position.
