Job Description
Stamford Health is looking to hire a full-time Pharmacy Oncology Technician for a day shift Monday-Friday, no weekends. The Pharmacy Oncology Technician, under pharmacist supervision, is responsible for all aspects of sterile compounding, inventory management, dispensing and distribution of hazardous and non-hazardous drugs in the outpatient oncology pharmacy infusion center. He/she shall oversee inventory management of costly chemotherapy and biotherapy drugs, assist in managing drug shortages, and ensure 340B purchasing requirements are enforced. He/she shall comply with all applicable regulatory standards governing sterile compounding of hazardous drugs and shall work to support pharmacy services.
