Job Description
Stamford Health, a well-established, award-winning Healthcare System with multiple locations in CT has an opportunity for a full-time Phlebotomist. The Phlebotomist is responsible for covering Stamford Hospital Bennett Cancer Laboratory draw station location between operation hours of 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday through Friday. Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture or finger sticks and handles the non-blood specimens. Verify the test requisitions, data input if needed and generate computer labels correctly and accurately before collecting and prepare specimens for transport to the main laboratory for testing by following specific handling requirements.
