New York Sports and Joints Orthopaedic Specialists is an orthopaedic practice located in the greater New York area, with multiple physicians and several offices spanning Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Long Island, and Queens. We are currently seeking a dedicated Full Time, Part Time, or Per Diem Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) to join our team. This opportunity is located at 1510 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, NY 11040.
Position : Per Diem Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray)
Responsibilities :
- Perform diagnostic X-Rays while ensuring the quality control of X-Ray equipment.
- Practice ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles to safeguard both the patient and yourself from excessive radiation exposure.
- Provide compassionate care to patients, adhering to established protocols and work processes.
- Prepare patients for examinations and accurately report patient history summaries, ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Generate high-quality radiographs by following established standards and procedures, and carefully observe radiographic results, making necessary adjustments as required.
- When needed, perform clerical duties during downtime.
- Calibrate imaging equipment.
- Maintain equipment.
- Monitor radiology supplies.
- Ensure correct radiation levels.
- Keep x-ray rooms clean and tidy.
Job Details : J ob Type : Per Diem
Salary : $40-$45 per hour
Schedule : 8-hour shifts, 2-3 days a week
