Duties Description Under the direction of the Park Manager 2, SG-21 at Bear Mountain State Park, the Park Supervisor 1, SG-11 will provide administrative support for the park office. In addition to administrative work, the candidate must be able to perform general maintenance as needed such as landscaping, snow removal, and traffic direction. Duties of this position include but are not limited to the following :

• Prepare daily and weekly attendance and revenue reports as well as maintain expenditure records.
• Responsible for processing payroll.
• Oversee purchase requisitions.
• Issue Park permits such as bus permits and special event permits.
• Conduct various audits and ensure paperwork is properly filed.
• Prepare new employee paperwork; supervise, train, and evaluate cashiers, revenue, and office staff.
• Answer telephones and monitor park radio communications.
• Greet visitors, providing information to patrons as needed.
• Prepare correspondence for internal and external communications.
• Order and maintain office supplies.
• Assist in emergency situations by applying emergency procedures and practices, assisting and directing staff and working with patrons to minimize potential issues.

Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). To be considered for appointment through NY HELPS, or 55 b / c, candidates must meet the open-competitive minimum qualifications for this position. The qualifications are : Either 1. three years of experience in the construction, operation, or maintenance of a park, recreational facility, or campus; one year of this experience must be at a supervisory level;Or 2. an associate's or higher level degree or 60 college semester credit hours
