Duties Description
The Nursing Station Clerk 1s are assigned to inpatient units where there is daily, continual contact with residents, performing the following duties:
Screen communications by providing relevant information to appropriate personnel and direct visitors to the appropriate locations, ensure daily and routine lab slips are accurate with the necessary diagnoses codes and accurately enter them in database, coordinate and schedule resident appointments and clinician referrals along with completion of necessary paperwork, prepare and maintain resident medical records, answer phones, take accurate messages, and distribute as appropriate, set up and process new admissions and re-admissions paperwork, order, pick up, and deliver supplies and records for your unit, answer call-bells promptly and transport residents as needed and perform miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Nursing Station Clerk 1 Open Competitive Qualifications: One year of full-time clerical, secretarial or patient care experience in a health care setting.
Nursing Station Clerk Trainee Promotion Qualifications: One year of permanent service in a title allocated to Grade 5 or higher and satisfactory completion of a six-month traineeship.
