Duties Description
Responsible for collecting blood from patients through the performance of venipuncture, capillary puncture, and other techniques; process for reference laboratory, enters data concerning blood and urine samples, and test information into computer systems; maintains proper inventory of supplies and materials needed for the daily collection; cleans and maintains phlebotomy accessories and other related equipment. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience as a Phlebotomist or a certificate in Phlebotomy from a recognized college, school, training program, hospital, health care facility, or the Armed Services.
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies
One year phlebotomy experience in hospital setting.
