The Distribution Center stores and distributes secured and unsecured forms and over 100 commodities to 220 State and County DMV offices, Driving Schools, Libraries, Local Municipalities, and Car Dealerships.
The incumbent of this position may perform the following duties:

To be eligible for appointment, candidates must meet one of following conditions as detailed below:
NY HELPS*:
There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this title.
Transfer
One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service allocated to a G-6 or higher eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law, or currently serving in the title and eligible for reassignment.
Reinstatement
If you previously served in this title or in a title otherwise transferable to this title, you may be considered for reinstatement pursuant to Civil Service Law, if it is in the best interest of the agency. If you left state service more than one year ago, the reinstatement must also be approved by the Civil Service Commission. All reinstatements must serve a mandatory 52-week probation period.
55b/c Appointment
This position is eligible for 55b/c designation and candidates with 55b/c eligibility are encouraged to apply. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications stated above and must submit their current 55b/c eligibility letter along with their application.

Duties Description
The Distribution Center stores and distributes secured and unsecured forms and over 100 commodities to 220 State and County DMV offices, Driving Schools, Libraries, Local Municipalities, and Car Dealerships.
The incumbent of this position may perform the following duties:
- Receiving order requests from DMV offices and outside entities
- Creating pick lists and packing slips for orders requested
- Conduct physical inventory of forms and commodities
- Verifying orders contain the requested items
- Labeling and packaging items to be sent out via UPS
- Restocking shelves
- Assist with statewide deliveries, if needed
- Answering phones and receiving faxes
- Assist with state office moves including equipment, supplies, documents, forms, furniture, etc.
- Ability to routinely lift and/or carry heavy items
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to routinely reach, bend, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Utilize a forklift and/or motorized pallet jack to unload incoming and load outgoing trucks
- The duties of this position require the employee to work on-site
