Under the general direction of the Assistant Training Coordinator, NS (Eq G-25), of Central Office DRIVES Training, a Training Assistant, NS equated to G-23, will be responsible for managing training activities to ensure employee readiness during roll-out of the new DMV DRIVES system. An incumbent will supervise a team of training development and delivery staff, comprised of existing training and program (from DMV Business units) staff.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Minimum Qualifications
Seven years of training experience.
OR
An associate degree and five years of the required experience as described above.
OR
A bachelor’s degree and three years of the required experience as described above.
OR
A master’s degree and two years of the required experience as described above.

Hours of the position will be discussed at the time of interview, including questions regarding Flextime, AWS/Compressed work week and Telecommuting.

Duties Description

An incumbent will supervise a team of training development and delivery staff, comprised of existing training and program (from DMV Business units) staff.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Defines and creates detailed training curriculum, scripts, exercises, and other training material, ensuring they align with the requirements and training objectives.
- Utilizes appropriate tools for training and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Identifies training strategies and scope for both manual and automated training.
- Provides support to the team for curriculum development.
- Validates necessary resources to execute the training activities of the Central Office DRIVES Training center.
- Collaborates with team members in the development of training schedules.
- Collaborates with technical teams (under Technology, Strategy and Innovation) to set up and construct the training environment, including configurations and data.
- Oversees the training lifecycle and creates new workflows to resolve training issues.
- Delivers updates to the Assistant Training Coordinator for system training activities.
- Collaborates with team members on training activities.
- Contributes with tracking and reporting out on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
- Sustains a collaborative environment that fosters and supports creative solutions and continuous improvement.
- Communicates professionally and respectfully both verbally and in writing.
- Completes a full range of supervisory activities for subordinate staff.
