Assistant Director Of Investigations Is Responsible For
Duties Description
Developing and managing plans and operations to effect reciprocal agreements for information sharing between the Criminal Investigations Division and various federal, New York State and local municipal governmental and law enforcement authorities; managing collaborative investigative programs and task force operations with other law enforcement organizations; and for overseeing and coordinating statewide investigative programs and activities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Ten years of progressively responsible law enforcement experience involving the investigation of criminal activities. At least two years of this experience must also include the investigation of tax crimes that have required substantial involvement with, and responsibility for: intelligence programs related to the detection and contravention of large-scale organized criminal activities; the management and use of law enforcement management information systems; the organization and management of multi-agency investigative task forces; and the supervision of major investigations. This experience must also include either three years of experience at a supervisory level, or one year of experience at a managerial level.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in organizing and conducting trainings for staff, regarding their essential functions in the categories of experience listed above.

required. Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.

- Be a resident of New York State at the time of appointment and maintain State residency continuously during employment.
- Have a valid New York State driver’s license.
- Be able to obtain a valid pistol permit.
- Pass a required pre-employment psychological test.
