RECRUITING LICENSED PSYCHOLOGISTS FOR ROCHESTER PSYCHIATRIC CENTER
Rochester Psychiatric Center (RPC) is looking for Licensed Psychologists for their Regional Forensic Unit (RFU) to provide professional psychological services to individuals in the New York State justice / corrections system. Day shift positions are available from Sunday to Thursday, with the possibility of weekend coverage.
RPC’s Licensed Psychologists are valued members of multicultural, interdisciplinary forensic inpatient treatment teams focused on providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based treatment in accordance with the current standards of professional care outlined by The Joint Commission.
Licensed Psychologists working in the RFU :
- Perform forensic evaluations including fitness to stand trial, violence risk assessment, and other court-ordered assessments
- Conduct specialized assessments including functional, personality, risk, competency, vocational, educational
- Serve as expert witnesses in both clinical and forensic psychology across all courts in New York State
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy
- Maintain records and write reports
- Provide clinical leadership
- Provide program management

RPC, a Joint Commission-accredited Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility, provides inpatient and outpatient treatment and rehabilitation to adults who have been diagnosed with serious mental illness, residential and community support programs to children and adolescents diagnosed with serious emotional disturbances, and inpatient treatment to individuals who are currently involved with the Criminal Justice System. RPC is committed to supporting underserved individuals, organizations, and communities along with activities and initiatives to reduce disparities in access, quality, and treatment for underserved populations.
