The Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) is seeking an experienced litigator to work in its Syracuse
Regional Office. The Regional Office represents the state, its agencies, and officers in a wide range of federal and
state court litigation, affirmative and defensive. The selected attorney will handle all phases of litigation from
commencement through trial.
Applicants must have at least three (3) years of litigation experience. Trial experience is required, and personal injury
experience is a plus. Familiarity with federal court practice and/or civil rights claims is also a plus. Applicants must
have strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills. Availability for periodic travel in New York state is also
required.
Applicants must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York state and be admitted to practice law in
New York state. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that attorneys in the OAG be citizens of the United
States. A two (2) year commitment upon being hired is a condition of employment.
