Park and Rec Aide 4 (intern) is a full-time, seasonal position that assists in maintaining special gardens and collections at the arboretum.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
No minimum qualifications per Civil Service.
Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Botany, Environmental Science, or a related field.

This position has the option to join the NYS Employees’ Retirement System and may be eligible for health insurance, dental and vision coverage as well as the opportunity for paid time off in the form of vacation, sick, personal and holiday leave after time and service requirements have been met.

Park and Rec Aide 4 (intern) is a full-time, seasonal position that assists in maintaining special gardens and collections at the arboretum.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Planting, pruning, mulching, watering, and weeding plant beds
- Installation of indoor and outdoor horticultural displays
- Special garden renovations
- Performing other related duties as assigned.

Additional Comments
- Must possess strong organizational and critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently or on a team.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time outside and lift up to 50 lbs.
