High School Principal Effective July 1, 2024
The Eastchester School District seeks a transformational leader for Eastchester High School to build on our secondary successes while preparing innovative approaches to best prepare our students for 21st century challenges. Currently Eastchester High School supports a rigorous Regents program, aligned to expanded Advanced Placement and College Credit opportunities across all grade levels.
A May 2023 Tri-State Evaluation offered numerous recommendations to advance the college, career and counseling agenda. The District has initiated an expanded program for our special needs pupils, ranging from Flexible Support Programs at the middle/high levels to services across the spectrum that attracts revenue tuition students from neighboring school districts. Approximately 50 eleventh and twelfth graders enroll in SWBOCES career programs each year. The new Principal's 9-12 Action Plan will implement the District’s Strategic Priorities.
Qualifications:
The salary range is $200,000 to $225,000 based on experience, academic credentials and a record of achievements.
The successful finalist must possess New York State certification as a School Building Leader, a minimum Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred); secondary teaching experience (tenure preferred); and three to five years administrative experience or equivalent at the secondary level.
